Who We Are
Hindu on Campus (HOC) is a student-led, grassroots organization dedicated to amplifying the voices of Gen Z Hindus, addressing Hinduphobia, and advocating for the fair treatment of Hindus in academic environments worldwide. We provide a platform for Hindu students to share their experiences with discrimination and work to ensure that Hindu students are treated with respect and understanding across campuses.
We are committed to raising awareness, creating educational programs, and driving change to ensure that Hinduism is accurately represented and that Hindu students are protected from bias. Guided by the principles of Dharma (righteousness), ahimsa (non-violence), and samanvaya (harmony), we strive to create campuses where every Hindu can thrive without fear of prejudice.

What We Stand For
To educate, advocate, and amplify Hindu voices while addressing and eliminating Hinduphobia on campuses. Through grassroots campaigns, awareness initiatives, and actionable advocacy, we aim to create a culture of understanding, allyship, and mutual respect across diverse communities.

We envision a future where Hindu students across the globe are empowered to celebrate their identities, practice their faith freely, and actively engage in academic and cultural conversations without fear of prejudice. We aim to build lasting relationships between Hindus and other communities, fostering mutual understanding, respect, and inclusivity.

Hindu on Campus was founded in March 2021 by a group of passionate and diverse Hindu students who were united by one common experience: systemic Hinduphobia on their campuses. Frustrated with biased representations of Hinduism and institutional disregard for their concerns, they came together to create an organization that would not only highlight these issues but actively work to address them.
Since our founding, we have expanded globally, connecting with students and organizations across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. We’ve worked tirelessly to tackle Hinduphobia through grassroots organizing, social media campaigns, and data-driven advocacy. From addressing incidents of bigotry at leading universities to amplifying Hindu student voices, HOC has become a platform for positive change and collective action.
